Ochsner currently uses the web-based modules available at the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) website (www.citiprogram.org) for certification in Human Subjects Training. All those who need to be listed as study personnel on an IRB project must complete the required training. To obtain an ERSA password and access to the system, you must first complete the Ochsner required modules listed on the CITI program website. Step-by-step instructions on registering, completing the courses and affiliating from another institution can be found below.
In addition, Ochsner requires human subjects training re-certification every 3 years. This can be accomplished by completing the CITI refresher course, attending the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) lecture series presentations or viewing the presentations via the Ochsner mediasite. Further information can be found below.
You can now view your completed Human Subjects Research training courses on the Ochsner Intranet at http://researcheducationd.ochsner.org. This application is only available if your computer is connected to the Ochsner network. PLEASE NOTE: The above access is not available to new employees with an Ochsner employee ID that contains numbers. For assistance, contact the IRB office at 2-3535 or email@example.com
Please call the IRB office at 504-842-3535 to schedule individual or group training sessions on ERSA and/or the IRB process and guidelines.
